Christian students who get involved in ministry when they go to
college are there for one of three reasons:
- They sincerely love the Lord and desire to grow in their knowledge of Him
- They have been told by their Christian parents to be involved in a fellowship of godly community
- They feel sent from their local church as a missionary to the college campus to advance God’s kingdom
This past year, God blessed the Kean Cru ministry with 6 men and 7
women who felt called as missionaries to the college campus. These students
study at Kean full-time, some live on campus, some are Resident Hall
Assistants, most have jobs and still they find time to serve the Lord with
their skills through ministry. Just this
semester, Jesus’ name was mentioned in the Kean newspaper twice because of
events Kean Cru put on. Pictured above is a group shot of most of our leaders
at “Light Sounds”, an event with spoken word, jazz music, and Gospel solos that
drew out the Kean community one Wednesday night. This event and the t-shirts
shown were only made possible through God and our good friends at Student Org.
Our group name was entered into a lottery for non-funded groups to win money
towards any event that they chose to put on. Many people heard the Gospel
message through music, poetry and conversation over free appetizers!
To God be all the glory! Please pray for the student leaders at
Kean to not lose zeal for service this summer.
