Car Updates

I'm currently working with mats.org to get a car in my price-range that is small (because parking in Jersey City is a nightmare) and gas-effiecient (because I drive 200 miles a week)! I've made a faith goal of $10k to purchase a vehicle that would meet my needs. The combination of what my insurance company will be giving me and my tax-refund will leave me just about $1500 short of that goal.

I'm currently waiting to see how God will provide the rest of the money or which car He will provide for me. I was considering a hybrid, but the potential battery maintenence I will need to pay for doesn't really make it worth it. Last car I had, Toyota Yaris, is the most gas-effiecient car I know with 35-38 miles/gallon.

Please pray I make a wise decision that would help me to continue my ministry work here in NJ for many years to come. I'm so excited to see how God will work!

NYC rejects Christian's freedoms!

I usually only post about ministry, but I'm outraged!
Did you hear what's happening  here in NYC? Feels like we're one more step away... Disappointed in NYC... We can be better! As of February 10th, New York City will kick out nearly 70 churches in the 5 boroughs who rent public schools to hold service! Didn't we come to this continent in search of freedom of religion?! To get away from people who tell us who and how we have to serve?! Seriously?! It's not like they are illegally sitting in these building or doing it for free! THEY ARE RENTING!

Okay, I'm going to go breathe and you can read Pastor Tim Keller's more calm and clear statement on the subject.

This is me

A friend says I don't blog enough about myself... and although this is for ministry purposes, God is doing a work in my life... so...

This morning I read over most of my journal entries from the past year and a half. This was a difficult time for me where I learned so much more about who God is through the trials He allowed me to go through. I've had friends who have been and still are an amazing part of this process. Today some of them contacted me just to see how I was doing, knowing this weekend marks a significantly difficult time in my life. Then a few who are near me spent the day with me as we did the three "P"s: pedicures, Panera, pottery! What a blessing! :)

Oh, and I cut my hair! Really... really... really short!

Anyway, I heard this song just afterwards and I feel as though it well describes the time I had over the past two years as I dealt with... drama. (This is still the internet, so that's as detailed as I care to be).
